Bristow, Virginia - Nissan Pavillion

Well my annual trip to the Warped Tour has come to a close and here is what I have to say about it. First, I think there were more people than last year and I think Simple Plan and The Starting Line and the growing popularity of punk in general is the reason for the increased attendence. Anyway, we arrived about 30 min. before Yellowcard went on. I was so excited to see these guys play. They played with so much energy it was great. As usual, each band gets like five or six songs tops to play. To my suprise only two of the songs they played were from Ocean Avenue - Way Away and Ocean Avenue. Ryan said that our crowd was the biggest they have had all tour. All-in-all thier set was great. I can't wait to see these guys in concert again.

After taking a break in the shade, we headed over to see The Starting Line. I have heard that they play like its their last show ever. They hit that stage with so much energy and didn't stop until their set was over. They didn't play anything from their upcoming album which I was a little dissapointed about. There was an absolutely HUGE crowd for these guys and Ken said that he was "living the dream, right now". You can tell these guys are thankful for everything. They poured their heart and soul into a five song set, its unbelievable. I can't wait to see these guys on the Drive-Thru tour.

After another break in the shade we head off to see Simple Plan. As expected, a pretty large crowd came to see these guys perform and I was amazed at how hard they rocked. They are totally different live, and if you haven't seen them I suggest you try to. Pierre doesn't seem like much of a screamer, but he rocked harder than almost every other singer I saw the whole day. He said that they were heading out on tour in the Fall. Maybe with GC, SoCo, and Mest perhaps? I guess we shall see sooner or later.

We caught a few songs from Andrew W.K. who was rocking the crowd pretty hard. We also saw the first half of the Poison The Well set. To my suprise there was a pretty big crowd watching them. Also on the way out I was fortunate enough to catch Bleed The Dream and these guys are awesome. Not many people know about them now, but they will soon. Another great Warped Tour, I can't wait until next year.
